A day at Grimm's Spiel & Holz Design - our story part 06

📅 November 2017 – a day at Grimm’s Spiel & Holz Design

📜 The question of what I wanted to do in Australia 🇦🇺 was such an easy one to answer. I’d always wanted to start my own business and everything seemed to be falling together at the same time for me to start creating my dream job. A big thank you to 🌈 Grimm’s Spiel & Holz Design for having me for the day and showing me around the toy workshop. It is truly a magical place. It was a wonderful day and I am still impressed by all the love they put into these beautiful and natural handmade wooden toys 🌳.

The decision is made, the best time to start is now: 🙌🏾

First of all, I really love wooden toys. The shapes, the textures, the unique feeling and sound just amazes me. As a child, my brother and I used to play with wooden toys every single day. Inside and outside no matter where we were. I also grew up only 25 km away from “Hochdorf” and “Zell unter Aichelberg” in Germany where both companies are based.

Secondly a very good friend of mine works at 🌈 Grimm’s Spiel & Holz Design in Germany 🇩🇪. We always love to discuss business in general and this time is just made sense to talk about the opportunity and need to bring these wonderful and loved toys to as much children in Australia as possible.

Not to forget that we have our little Oskar now and everything makes even more sense. When we started sorting out our personal belongings and deciding which toys we would send to Australia it was been clear that we definitely will bring our big wooden box of 🐘 ostheimerwoodentoys to Australia. They are more than 30 years old, played with for years, made for generations and still in an amazing condition 🍂.

We are absolutely convinced that these unique and distinctive natural wooden toys 🌳 combined with the open ended play philosophy will outlive digitalization and are without a doubt a must for every family.
