Hanneman Sugar Cane Watercolour Paper Pad 290sm - 12 sheets - A4 or 24x32cm
Made from 70% fast-growing sugar cane fibres (bagasse) and 30% cotton, Sugar Cane Watercolour Paper offers a sustainable and beautifully soft surface for artistic expression. This natural white, warm-toned paper combines the strength of sugar cane with the gentle texture of cotton textile residues, resulting in a velvety cold-pressed surface that’s perfect for watercolour, gouache, and wet-on-wet techniques.
At 290 g/m², it holds large amounts of water and pigment without warping or fibre lift. Colours remain brilliant and rich, while the paper supports fine detail, flowing gradients, and special effects like salt or water drops. Vegan, acid-free, and age-resistant, each sheet is glued on all four sides to prevent buckling during painting. A small unglued corner lets you lift the page cleanly when your artwork is complete.
