Why are our paint jar holders finished with a water-based lacquer?

Our water-based lacquer provides a water-proof coating to our paint jar holders. We have had many years experience and know just how wet our paint jar holders can get! A lacquer as opposed to an oil is our preferred solution to guarantee long-lasting protection, and being water-based allows for deep penetration into the wood.

I’ve been looking for something to put our paints in for a while now, and these are perfect. They are small and light but sit nice and snug in the holder, so won’t tip over. The lids mean I can seal up left over paint when we are finished so we are being far less wasteful. They are the perfect size for toddler hands. Plus they look beautiful on our craft trolley!

Glass Paint Jars

Absolutely love these jars and wish I had of discovered them sooner. My kids would ask to paint everyday but I’d be hesitant because of the messiness and often wasted paint when they would only last at it for 5 minutes. Now I don’t have to worry as the lids can be put back on the jars and the paint is saved for next time. Now just to master the art of only using one paintbrush per colour!!
