Alkena Beeswax Clay Modelling Blend 200gm - 3 Earth Tones
A natural modelling clay from Switzerland, made from a combination of pure beeswax, natural fillers, and natural coloured clay. Softer to use than pure beeswax while still requiring more active participation than plasticine or play dough.
It is a modelling material that meets the highest artistic demands with a smooth consistency, maintaining its shape at room temperature, and can be worked on and cut with modelling tools.
Alkena with its added beeswax stays pliable when exposed to air and can be remoulded again and again. The beeswax adds a warming quality, as contrasted to straight clay which has a cooling effect.
As a therapeutic modelling clay, it engages and strengthens the will in active doing. Where there are too many sensory distractions, or intellectual and head activity it provides an outlet by occupying the hands. In the office and the boardroom, it is an effective stress relieving tool.
