Grimm's Magnet Puzzle Bodies in Motion from Oskar's Wooden Ark is a colourful puzzle for children of all ages - even adults!

This set can be used to make figures and place them in an infinite variety of poses.

It promotes collaborative play: one player poses and the other tries to copy this pose with the magnet figure. Or, player one makes a pose with the puzzle pieces and describes it (player two cannot see it) and then player two tries to set his/her figure in the same pose.

This helps children to concentrate on listening and understanding as well as observing and describing properly. A bonus is children will gain a better understanding of body proportions and motion sequences. The pieces can also be put together to form interesting shapes and patterns.

This set is perfect with our Grimm's Magnetic Blackboard. You can also use one of our Kitpas Magnetic Chalkboards in combination with our Grimm's Magnetic Puzzles.

Forms and Movement

I purchased this for my eldest who is 8 years old and she absolutely loves it. She uses it to move the people around into various poses, and also uses the individual pieces to create animals and other things. She will use on the tin it came with.
We also purchased a white board and markers so she can position the figures and then draw in around them moving them into different positions i.e., a dancer dancing and moving, someone jumping or playing catch. She gets hours of quiet play from it and it is allowing her to build on an understanding of the human body and how it moves but also the creativity of exploring moving tableaus.
