Artful Architecture & Imaginative Wooden Building Worlds
Regenbogenland is an inspiring German wooden toy brand founded by architect Benno Pecher in 1980, creating artistic construction sets that unite architecture, imagination, and child-led creativity. Designed for open-ended play, each set supports focus, spatial awareness, and fine motor development while encouraging storytelling through building.
Made from locally sourced multiplex beechwood in German workshops, every piece reflects expert craftsmanship, thoughtfully created by skilled makers, including people with disabilities who contribute their talents to the production process. With influences from ancient cultures and fairy-tale worlds, children explore STEM learning, design thinking and sensory play through structured and free building experiences that grow imagination.
Regenbogenland encourages children to become true builders, combining shapes, colours and light elements to create castles, worlds and stories while developing problem-solving, creativity and confidence through hands-on architectural play that evolves with every build.

I can't imagine a toy palace that could be more beautifully crafted. The Wooden pieces are heavy and sturdy, making it easy to keep the walls together on any surface. The paintwork is detailed and unique. My little ones are using for fairies presently, but I can imagine there will be many different ways it could be used as their interests evolve.
