Grimm’s Wooden Toys are crafted in Germany by a family-owned company dedicated to open-ended play, natural materials and timeless design. Since 1978, they have created sustainably made wooden toys that support creativity, learning and meaningful everyday moments for children and adults alike.
Each piece is designed with simple forms, soft colours and tactile wooden textures that invite children to build, stack and imagine freely. Guided by Waldorf and Montessori principles, Grimm’s toys encourage exploration, problem-solving and imaginative thinking without limits or instructions.
Made from sustainably sourced alder, beech, lime and maple wood, every toy is carefully finished using safe, non-toxic colour stains. Built to last for generations, Grimm’s supports fine motor development, sensory learning and creative confidence through beautifully crafted wooden play.
Customers praised this toy's "vibrant colour" and "amazing quality," noting it's "perfect for small hands" and ideal for 1-2 year olds. Shoppers love that it carries toys and pairs well with storybooks. One customer experienced a shipping error and expressed disappointment with service response time and resolution efforts.

Love it
Love the rich blue colour. Great size, not too big for a one year old. Goes well with the single convertible.

Great product but disappointing service
I’ve purchased from our wooden toys and silk scarves exclusively from OWA over the past few years and have had a good experience until recently, even writing a positive review in their early years and following their family pages. However, I’m pretty disappointed with my recent customer service experience, where I received an incorrect item - one that was more expensive than what I had ordered. I immediately reached out to inform them about the mistake, and they requested I return the item, which is totally fair. However, I was pressured to return in within 24hrs because “a little one was eagerly awaiting it”. This wasn’t exactly realistic for most peoples schedules and considering they would not have even noticed that I received the wrong item until I reached out. What makes this worse is my child missed out on receiving their intended gift for their special event, and there was no effort to make up for this like offering a discount code or sending the correct item out immediately when I initially raised the issue. I love the beautiful items, including this little blue truck, sold at OWA but would recommend they improve their customer service training and inventory tracking systems to help future customers.
Thank you for your product review and for bringing this issue to our attention. We truly value your loyalty to OWA over the years and the previous positive reviews you've shared.
I sincerely apologize for the shipping error with your recent order and for the disappointment this caused, especially with your child missing out on their special gift. You're absolutely right - our handling of this situation fell short of our usual high level of customer service.
The urgency in our request for the return put unnecessary pressure on you, and I apologize for the stress it caused.
We value your feedback and it is incredibly valuable in helping us to improve our customer service training. Thank you again for your patience and for giving us the opportunity to make this right.
Please look out for a private message from us with a token of our appreciation for your continued loyalty and honest feedback.

Beautiful little blue truck
The Grimms blue is one of my favourite Grimms colours so I was excited to get this blue truck for my kids. They have enjoyed driving their little passengers around in the back of the truck and also towing Grapat mandala pieces around. A great addition to our playroom and the quality is of course amazing as usual.

Cutest blue truck!
The perfect gift for a one year old. Big enough for carrying some treasures in the back but small enough for little hands. Beautiful colour. A great match with the Little Blue Truck story books.
