40 years ago Amalia and Albert Vah founded their successful wood-working family business and in 2002 they passed it on their son Dominic, a father of four beautiful children and a master carpenter by trade. Dominic’s expertise in traditional handicraft, innovative ideas and love for history are combined in all of VAH Spielmanufaktur’s beautiful toys. The Vah’s are proud to offer high quality handmade toys which are all made in their own armoury in Germany using local materials.
VAH Spielmanufaktur focuses on creating safe toys that allow children to explore role play, learn about history and legends, and allow them to add their own touch of imagination to any story. Just by putting on a gown, a helmet or hat and grabbing one of the many type of swords, daggers and shields children can become King Arthur, Vikings, Robin Hood, Templars, pirates, Romans, princesses and many other historic characters. As their toys are made for children, VAH Spielmanufaktur manufactures toys in accordance with DIN EN 71 and only uses harmless, non-toxic dyes that neither come off or pose a risk for your child when coming in contact with saliva or sweat. All of VAH’s toys and costumes are made from natural products which include wood, leather, wool felt, cotton fabrics and cords. Looking after and protecting the environment is another of VAH Spielmanufaktur’s priorities. Whenever possible they try to avoid using any type of plastic and most of their toys also don’t need individual packaging due to their robust nature and sturdiness.
