Five animals have escaped the Ark and are hiding somewhere on our brand new website!

A Giraffe, a Lion, a Koala, a Panda and a little Elephant are each tucked away on a different page, holding a sign with a secret code worth real money off your order.

The hunt runs from 1st to 7th October, or until every code has been claimed. Please read the full Hunt Rules below before you start.

Find a code before it's claimed and it's yours to spend, but choose wisely, as it's one code per customer. Legend has it the little Elephant is guarding the rarest code of all: a single $500 discount. Whether she's still out there is anyone's guess...

Our website is fresh out of the box, so while you're hunting, we'd be so grateful if you'd let us know if anything looks a little wonky or out of place. Every tip helps keep the Ark shipshape.

Hunt Rules

Anyone shopping on the Oskar's Wooden Ark website during the hunt. Our own team are the ones hiding the animals, so they'll be sitting this one out.

Each of the five animals is tucked away on a different page of our website, holding a sign with a secret code. We won't say which pages, but a good wander through the shop, the collections and the corners you don't usually visit is a good place to start.

It starts at 7am on 1st October 2026 and ends at 23:59 on 7th October 2026, Adelaide time, or when every code has been fully claimed, whichever comes first. Each code can only be used a set number of times, shown in the details above.

Enter it at checkout when you place your order. Codes can't be added to an order that's already been placed, and each one is a discount on your order only, with no cash value. A use is counted when an order is completed, so a code sitting in your cart isn't reserved for you.

Each code has a minimum spend, shown in the table above. It's calculated on the listed price of your eligible items (the price shown on our website when you order), before the discount is applied. Shipping doesn't count, and neither do Grimm's, Stapelstein or Sale items or gift card purchases, so it's worth checking your cart total without them.

Codes apply to products only, not to shipping or any other charges. The minimum spend for your code is measured before the discount, but our free shipping threshold for ustralian orders of AUD$220 is measured after it, so a code can bring an order below the threshold, and standard shipping will then apply. For example, with a $220 threshold, an order of $235 using Koala comes to $210 after the discount, so shipping is charged. Paying with a gift card doesn't change either calculation, because a gift card is a way of paying, not a discount.

Grimm's, Stapelstein and Sale items are excluded, and LAYBY orders can't use a code. Excluded items won't receive the discount, or be counted towards the minimum spend, but you are welcome to include them in the order.

One code per customer/household, so if you find more than one, choose the one that suits your order best. If a customer/household uses different codes across separate orders, only the first order placed keeps its discount, and any further orders using another code will be cancelled and refunded in full, including any shipping you've paid.

Codes can't be combined with any other discount code or promotional offer. A gift card is a way of paying rather than a discount, so you're welcome to use one at checkout alongside a code. Gift cards themselves can't be discounted, so buying one won't count toward your minimum spend.

Please don't share, resell or publicly post codes. There are only a few of each, and we'd like as many hunters as possible to have the fun of finding one themselves.

A few things to check:

  • The code is typed exactly as you found it
  • Your eligible items reach the minimum spend for that animal
  • There's no other discount code or offer on the order
  • It isn't a LAYBY order

If all of that looks right, that animal has probably already been found. Each code can only be used a set number of times, and once it's used up, it stops working at checkout even if the animal is still on the site. There may be others still waiting to be found.

Our usual returns policy applies. If you return part of a qualifying order and the eligible items you're keeping still meet the minimum spend for your code, you keep your discount and the returned items are refunded at their listed price (the price shown on our website when you ordered).

If the items you're keeping no longer reach the minimum spend, it depends on why you're returning:

  • Changed your mind: the discount is forfeited on the whole order, and your refund is what you paid less the listed price of the items you're keeping
  • Faulty item: you lose only the discount that applied to the faulty item, which is refunded at its listed price less that share of the discount, and you keep the discount on the rest of your order

For example, say you use Koala ($25 off, $75 minimum) on two items listed at $50 each and pay $75, so the discount is $12.50 on each item:

  • If you change your mind about one, you're keeping $50 of items, which is below the minimum, so the discount is forfeited and you're refunded $25
  • If one is faulty, it's refunded at $37.50 ($50 less its $12.50 share), and you keep the other item with its discount

Full Terms and Conditions

Promotion: The Great Ark Escape ("the Promotion") is run by Oskar's Wooden Ark Pty Ltd (ABN 23 629 254 066) ("Oskar's Wooden Ark"). It runs from 7am on 1st October 2026 until 23:59 on 7th October 2026, Adelaide time, or until all five discount codes have reached their maximum number of uses, whichever occurs first. Oskar's Wooden Ark reserves the right to end the Promotion early or extend it at its sole discretion.

Eligibility: Open to customers placing orders through the Oskar's Wooden Ark website during the Promotion period. Employees of Oskar's Wooden Ark are not eligible to participate.

How codes work: Five discount codes (Koala, Panda, Giraffe, Lion, Elephant) are hidden on various pages of the website. Each code carries a fixed discount amount, minimum spend requirement, and maximum number of redemptions, as set out below:

  • Koala: $25 off orders of $75 or more (15 uses available)
  • Panda: $50 off orders of $150 or more (10 uses available)
  • Giraffe: $100 off orders of $250 or more (5 uses available)
  • Lion: $250 off orders of $500 or more (3 uses available)
  • Elephant: $500 off orders of $1,000 or more (just 1 use available)

Products only and minimum spend: "Listed price" means the price shown on the Oskar's Wooden Ark website at the time the order was placed. Discounts apply to eligible products only, not to shipping or any other charges. The minimum spend is calculated on the listed price of eligible products before the discount is applied, and excludes shipping and any excluded items. A discount is apportioned across the eligible items in an order in proportion to their listed prices.

Exclusions: Discount codes cannot be used on LAYBY orders, and Grimm's, Stapelstein, Sale items and gift card purchases are excluded from this Promotion. The value of any excluded items will not count toward the minimum spend, and the discount will not apply to those items even where they are included in a qualifying order.

Shipping: Free shipping thresholds are calculated on the total value of all products in the order after the discount is applied, and excluded items (including Grimm's, Stapelstein and Sale items) count toward that value. The same free shipping threshold applies to all delivery addresses within Australia. If an order falls below the free shipping threshold as a result of a discount, standard shipping applies. Shipping will not be charged retrospectively if a return reduces the value of an order that has already shipped.

Gift cards: A gift card is a form of payment, not a discount. It may be used at checkout alongside a code, and does not reduce the amount used to calculate the minimum spend or any free shipping threshold.

Redemption: Codes must be entered at the checkout page at the time of order. Codes cannot be applied retroactively to orders already placed, and cannot be combined with any other discount code or promotional offer. A redemption is counted when an order is completed, and a code in your cart is not reserved. Codes must not be shared, resold, or publicly posted.

Code limits: Each code has a fixed number of permitted redemptions as set out in the table above. Once this limit is reached, the code will be automatically rejected at checkout. Oskar's Wooden Ark does not guarantee that any code, including the Elephant $500 discount code, will remain available for the full Promotion period.

One code per customer: Each customer and/or household (as identified by one or more of name, email address, delivery address, or payment method, at Oskar's Wooden Ark's discretion) may redeem only one Great Ark Escape code in total during the Promotion period. Where a customer and/or household is found to have placed more than one order using different Great Ark Escape codes, only the first such order (by order timestamp) will retain its discount. Any subsequent order(s) placed using another Great Ark Escape code will be cancelled and refunded in full, including any shipping paid.

Returns, cancellations and refunds: If part of an order is returned or cancelled and the eligible items that remain still meet the minimum spend for the code, the discount continues to apply and the returned or cancelled items are refunded at their listed price. If the eligible items that remain no longer meet the minimum spend:

(a) where an item is returned for any reason other than a fault, the discount is forfeited on the whole order, and the total refunded will be the amount paid less the listed price of the items kept, taking into account any refunds already made; and

(b) where an item is returned because it is faulty, the discount is forfeited only on that item, which is refunded at its listed price less its apportioned share of the discount, and the discount continues to apply to the items kept.

Where an order includes both kinds of return, (a) applies if the minimum spend would no longer be met even if the faulty items were counted as kept, and otherwise (b) applies. If an order is cancelled, it is refunded in full, including any shipping paid, and the discount is forfeited. Shipping on returned items is otherwise treated in accordance with our returns policy.

Discounts, not cash prizes: All codes are discounts applied to qualifying orders. No code is a cash prize. Discounts have no cash value and cannot be exchanged, transferred, or redeemed for cash.

General reservation of rights: Oskar's Wooden Ark reserves the right to refuse, cancel, or amend any order at its sole discretion where it reasonably suspects fraud, abuse, or a breach of these Terms, including but not limited to the sharing, resale, or public posting of discount codes.

Liability: Oskar's Wooden Ark accepts no responsibility for a code that is misused, forgotten, or claimed by another party (including by reaching its redemption limit) before a qualifying order is placed.

Your consumer rights: Nothing in these Terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

Governing law: This Promotion is governed by the laws of Australia.

Changes to these Terms: Oskar's Wooden Ark reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice, where reasonably necessary to protect the integrity of the Promotion.
