Mader Kreiselmanufaktur
Mader Kreiselmanufaktur was founded in 1991 by Klaus Mader, a very skilled carpenter with a love for handcrafted wooden toys. He has a small but mighty workshop in the foothills of the Austrian Alps where he creates traditional spinning tops, skipping ropes, kaleidoscopes and yo-yos - all by hand.
Each Mader spinning top is carved from a single piece of sustainably-sourced European wood and undergoes up to 20 different processes, including wood turning, burning, embossing, carving, brushing, painting and varnishing.
Original Mader Spinning Tops are easily recognisable, thanks to the burned stripe around their equator, beautiful rainbow colours and unparalleled attention to detail.
Pick one up and give it a twirl, then watch mesmerised as it spins and falls.
