Rainbow Colours Craft: Create a Rainbow Colour Collage
July 07, 2021
This week's craft activity from Jess @learnandbloom is great fun for little artists of all ages with some bonus colour-matching learning thrown in. The best part? you probably already have everything you need for this one lying around at home.
Get your little ones colouring, cutting, gluing and colour-sorting while they create a masterpiece to brighten up their bedroom or playroom.
Help us spread some hope and joy by sharing your rainbow creations with us on Instagram and Facebook, tagging @oskarswoodenark and using the hashtag: #oskarslittleartists.

You will need:
-Kitpas crayons
-Recycled cardboard
-PVA glue
-A selection of colourful craft embellishments
Step 1:
Cut out a large rainbow shape from your piece of recycled cardboard.

Step 2:
Colour each section with Kitpas crayons. You could also use paint or regular wax crayons here, but we found that the Kitpas crayons provided the most vibrant background for our collage.
Step 3:
Gather craft embellishments for your collage. We used paint chips, pom poms, feathers & washi tape.

Step 4:
Cut out little shapes from your paint chips (or coloured card). We also enjoyed drawing on these.
Step 5:
Stick collage pieces onto the cardboard using PVA glue. By squeezing the glue, children develop their fine motor skills, and by colour-matching the craft embellishments to the different rainbow arches they are learning too.
