Creating a forever friend takes time. The very first sample was full of promise, but we knew she wasn't quite right. Her head was too small, her ears sat too low and looked a little more elephant than koala, her nose needed reshaping, her eyes were hidden beneath her fur, and even her arms and snowy white tummy needed rethinking. Sample after sample travelled back and forth between us and the talented SENGER team. With every conversation, sketch and adjustment, she became a little softer, a little sweeter and a little more unmistakably koala. By the final round of refinements, we knew we had found her: the perfect balance of timeless design and cuddly charm that children would instantly fall in love with.

After travelling all the way from the SENGER workshop in Europe, our little koala has finally arrived in Australia, ready to find her forever home. We like to imagine she arrived carrying a little note that simply read,"Please take care of me."

Before long she will have a name chosen especially for her, a favourite place to curl up each night, and a family to love her for years to come. We hope she becomes one of those treasured childhood friends whose story continues long after childhood itself.
