Festive Fun: Christmas Letters to Santa
Kate Kwijas | November 17, 2021
We all love receiving mail! Children love the process of creating, posting and hearing, of the joy others experience when they receive their special messages. Why not set up a festive writing station? Your little learners could write to Santa, friends or family.
If your little learners write and create their Christmas letters, please take a photo and share it with us on Instagram and Facebook, tagging @oskarswoodenark and using the hashtag: #OWACHRISTMAS.

You will need:
· A Recycled Cardboard Box
· Kitpas Crayons or Stockmar Wax Crayons
· Stockmar Pencils
Step 1:
Create a postbox to contain all the letters that are ready to mail. We recycled a cardboard box, cut out a slot to post letters and a door for easy retrieval when the time comes to walk to the postbox. We used Kitpas Crayons to decorate it.

Step 2:
Print out the provided template and cut out the words. We printed on card stock so they were more durable. Setup your writing station. Include a variety of writing instruments, an address book with the addresses of loved ones, stamps, envelopes, Christmas themed cards and blank paper or cards.
Step 3:
Watch your little learners create letters to Santa, their friends and family. When you’ve collected enough letters in your homemade postbox, make the journey to the real post box and send your creations on their way!

Learning Outcome:
Your littlest learners will love practicing their fine motor skills whilst posting letters (and many other items) into your homemade postbox.
