Wobbel what? What is it for and what can you do with it?
It is the question we get asked the most and it is the question you probably want an answer too before getting your own one:

The Wobbel is a beautiful and robust redesign of a traditional Steiner (Waldorf) balance board. The simple design inspires creative play in children while helping them reach key developmental milestones. You can rock it, balance on it, push it, spin it, flip it and slide down it, sit on it or use it as a footstool, make it into a see-saw, a boat or a resting place or a doll's house – the play opportunities are endless! It is the wooden toy that moves young and old. It grows with your child, younger children can crawl onto it and rock gently, they can use it as a bridge for their toys, while older children will stand and rock and incorporate building blocks or marble runs with the Wobbel as a base.

The Wobbel stimulates balance and strength during play and use. In a playful way, but very efficiently, it supports physical awareness and balance. In our own experience the Wobbel works like a magnet on children. It is a toy that doesn’t need to be put away after playing with it. It looks great in every living room. It is designed for indoor use, but can also be used outside with sufficient care.

Felted base options at Oskar's Wooden Ark
The felted base is recommended if you intend to use your Wobbel on any surface other than carpet or a rug. The felt base will not only protect your Wobbel Board it will also protect your floors and dampen the sound. It also adds a non-slippery and softer surface when the Wobbel is being used as a seat or step. Last but not least the felt adds a special look and design to it.

At Oskar's Wooden Ark we stock Wobbel Boards with the following felt options:
Wobbel Original with different Felt Options
Wobbel Original Painted with different Felt Options (exclusive within Australia)
Wobbel White with different Felt Option
Wobbel Board Original Bamboo with Felt Forest Green

Wobbel Safety
Always let children play under adult supervision and let them get used to the Wobbel. Help them when needed and make clear what can and can't be done with it. Beware of fingers and toes at the edges. Teach your child from the first time to never hold the edges. Provide at least two meters of free space (also to other children) around the Wobbel and place it on a flat, horizontal surface. Make sure they don't wear socks or smooth shoes, otherwise they might slip and they could fall. Barefoot or non-slip shoes prevent slipping. Wobbel is designed for indoor play. It may be used outdoors but this will increase wear and tear to the board and the felt base.

We all love it!

Bought this wobbel board for my daughters first bday. She loves sitting on it and wobbel but her older bro (almost 4 yo) loves it even more! I was amazed to see how creative he is using the board! This board is so much fun and we all love it!!

A great toy for a little physical explorer (and mum!)

Great open play toy that even I find myself gravitating to it too when the little one (1yo) isn’t on it. The little one finds different ways to interact with the board and we love seeing her test herself with it, being a physical explorer. It lives permanently in our living room and we love it.

Always above expectations

I knew I wanted some type of ‘balance board’ for my 6 yo son with ASD but I underestimated how fantastic the wobble board really is. My three boys (nearly 8, 6, 1) all have birthdays in April so I bought the wobble as a shared early gift. Not only does it get used daily by each of my boys, they have come up with so many uses for it! Jumping and sliding, rocking, seesaw, as a bed, table, seat, ball and car run, step, play top for animals and nins... this is just so far! I really am loving watching my boys play together and their creativity thriving. Could not be happier.

the best

We gave our kids 16m and 4y this at christmas and it has been such a hit already, both children love playing with it and our 4yr old requests that we take it to the grandparents house when we go, he also loves telling people who visit all about it and what you can do with it

Christmas gift

I purchased the wobble months ago and had it stashed way for Xmas. I wish I had given it to the kids sooner, they have loved playing with it the past few days. It's been a ramp for cars, a bridge to climb over and under, it's a jumping ramp, a bed for dolly and a wibble wobble as miss 3.5 calls it. So versatile it really isn't just for standing on (which hubby was convinced)

10/10 would buy every family member one of these.

Wobble Time

Our wobble board has arrived! I can not wait to give it to my boys for Christmas, they are going to love it. Worth every penny and such a gorgeous design. Not only is it a brilliantly versatile toy but the customer service from Oskar’s Wooden Ark is amazing.

The Wobble board is absolutely amazing!! Really worth its money and is so beautifully made! It’s so open-ended with so many play possibilities to be used with toys or without.
My 15 month old son is in love with it. He really loves ‘row, row, row your boat’, he knew to stand and rock in it straight away, supporting his balance, coordination skills and confidence to try new things and not be afraid. He loves turning it over to learn how to jump off it, sliding down it and so much more. He pushes the cars on it, over it and under it and when he wants a rest, lays down in it!

My older children from my FDC love it too! They are 3-4 years old and have came up with so many imaginative play possibilities, incorporating this into their small world/ dramatic play, with their cars, Nins, baby dolls, super hero action figures etc. This has also been so great for developing their gross motor skills, confidence and turn taking!
Thank you!
