BRIO Smart Tech Sound Action Tunnel Travel Set
Take control of the play with this 37-piece interactive toy train set - the 33972 Action Tunnel Travel Set. Added Smart Tech Sound technology allows the battery-powered Record & Play Engine to communicate with its surroundings, automatically responding to Smart Tech accessories with various train actions like multicolour lights, motion and sounds that enhance the imaginative play.
Each Action Tunnel creates a unique response from the engine, and by actively moving them around the tracks, you can change the trains journey. Control the engine's direction using the Change Direction and Stop Action Tunnels. Watch the engine slow down and stall after it passes through the Break Action Tunnel and then comes back to life as it leaves the Fix Action Tunnel. And hear your pre-recorded customisable sounds play after the toy train swoops under the Sound Action Tunnel. Program your train track layout the way you want to play and begin your BRIO World adventures.
Warning. Not suitable for children under 36 months. Choking hazard due to small parts.
BRIO is one of the oldest wooden toy manufacturers in the world and has been around since the late 1800s. BRIO’s story began in 1884 when Ivar Bengtsson started selling woodchip baskets in Denmark. In the early 1900s Ivar and his wife moved to Osby, Sweden, where they expanded their product range and started creating and selling wooden toys for children. In 1908 the Bengtssons transferred the company over to their three sons who officially named the company BRIO - an acronym for the Ivarsson brothers of Osby (BRöderna Ivarsson Osby).
Under the directorship of the three brothers the company continued to flourish while keeping the focus on selling wooden toys for children. Over the years BRIO established itself as an internationally well known brand designing and creating many popular wooden toys like BRIO’s iconic train set. Having been the Purveyor to the Royal Court Of Sweden since the 1940s highlights BRIO’s continuity of extraordinary craftsmanship and quality products.
BRIO celebrated its 130th anniversary in 2014 and promised to “pay tribute to the importance of play, celebrating the child within us”. Focussing on free play is becoming more and more important in our fast paced and time-poor world. BRIO’s emphasis on play goes hand in hand with Oskar’s Wooden Ark’s philosophy of supporting you and your family with only the best and most beneficial sustainable toys.
