As a family-owned company Sarah's Silks has been importing sustainably-produced, hand-woven silks from China for many years. Sarah sources her materials from a village near Suzhou, where the workers, mostly women working from home, weave, dye, sew and iron the silk products.

Play Silk Care

Hand-wash with mild shampoo or dish soap and warm water. Color-fast. Hang dry, and iron on medium to restore shine.

Giant Rainbow silk

Absolutely beautiful colours and texture, the rainbow silk is excellent for making cubby houses by draping over the climbing frames.
Its great for hide and seek for littles ones and all kinds of imaginative play.

A new favourite silk!

Our Giant Starry Night silk has been an instant hit! So far it’s been set up as a night sky over our roads & towns, the wings of a bird, butterfly & dragon, and even made into a gorgeous cape!

I was a little nervous about spending so much on a silk, but this has been totally worth. Great quality, gorgeous design & wonderful play value 💖

So worth it

We absolutely love our giant play silk! What can’t it be! We’ve had it used as a giant superhero cape, a tow rope, butterfly wings, fairy godmother dress & a magical rainbow river, and that was in the last 24 hours alone. Our favourite thing

Sarah's Silk giant rainbow was on our Christmas wish list, and bought for my son from his grandma. We took it with us travelling, and to our new home. It's so easy to pack and so light and easy to play with wherever we go, as a cape, a parachute, and skipping rope, cubby and more. Not only did it bring a smile to people's faces when we were out (who doesn't love a rainbow), it was an instant cubby and picnic cloth in our new home, making it familiar and beautiful even when the house was still in boxes. Our Sarah's Silk has been through the wars of an active 4 yr old boy, and still looks and feels amazing.

Endless ideas of fun!

We have had the giant play silk for nearly a year now (I know sorry, only just getting round to writing a review!) but it is seriously played with all the time. We play with our giant play silk every day it has never got old. I love how my daughters think up new ways to use it all the time. It is so beautiful to touch and makes everything in play magical and childlike. It can instantly change a space and mood. We all love having a turn of it. I’m going to have to get my youngest daughter one too and I know it will be a good investment. Worth every cent!

Loved by all ages

I purchased this to turn our moov triangle into a little chill out cubby which it does perfectly. It also so many more uses it is so soft, light weight and silky my kids love it. My 3yo has actually taken ownership of it and wants to take it to bed instead of a cuddle toy every night speaking volumes for the soft comforting effect it’s colours and texture has on little ones.
