Beautiful but not practical

We bought quite a number of Weizenkorn puzzles for our children who are keen puzzlers. The puzzles are indeed beautiful, but perhaps better suited for decorative purposes. We buy wooden toys to be enjoyed, not just looked at, and we hope they last for many years, and this puzzle did not last even an hour. The puzzles are cut so finely that the pieces do not separate when the puzzles are tipped out. You must painstaking separate every piece. If you do not do so gently enough, the edges will break. We were so disappointed by these beautiful puzzles.

Sweet little puzzle

Perfect for our (almost) 3 year old

We gifted this and the Penguin puzzle to our son for Christmas, just before he turned three. They are a perfect size for toddlers and the wooden pieces stand up to toddler play really well. The 6 piece option is excellent for children transitioning to jigsaw puzzles. We found it to be the perfect balance of independence/difficulty for his age at the time. They are quite easy for him now (3.5 years) but he still enjoys them and plays with them frequently.
